Pin Goh is a Cultural Engagement Specialist, with a passion for creating experiences that incubate and inspire ideas for continually expanding the Singaporean cultural identity. With a firm foundation in Business and Marketing, she founded The Local People in 2014, taking open approaches to what educational curriculum/structure/environments are expected to look like.

Known for their spatial and cultural activation projects, The Local People customises their approaches depending on the clients needs.

Pin enjoys working with retail and commercial property owners, property management and government bodies on creating events that are catalysts for community outcomes and social impact for not-for-profit organisations.

Desiree is a Music Operations Specialist with a passion for uplifting and supporting local musicians in all forms. With experience managing operations across multiple companies, she brings both precision and heart to everything she does, balancing her professional work by day with performing and gigging by night.

She began her journey with The Local People in 2018 as a performer at their events, and officially joined the team in 2020. Since then, she has played a key role in expanding the music community on the platform, bringing in fresh and emerging acts to share their work with wider audiences.

Known for her charisma and deeply personable nature, Desiree is well connected within the music industry both in Singapore and internationally. She is the team’s go-to for all things music, driven by a genuine commitment to building opportunities and fostering meaningful connections within the creative community..
